Cycling holidays are the new innovative vacation ideas, and many people are heading for Weekend Cycling Spain / Mallorca. This Spanish island province in the Mediterranean sea is Europe’s cycling capital because most of the professional cycling teams spend the winters and spring preparing for their next season. If you are a holidaymaker in Mallorca what would be the ideal cycling trail for you.

There are many well-planned cycling routes on this picturesque island. It would be best to choose a route that passes through quieter and easy riding areas of the island. Palmanova to Santa Ponca would be the perfect cycling trail to fulfill this need for a holiday cyclist.

You can begin your journey from Avenida de la Playa and head to the roundabout. Here, you can take a left and keep peddling for a couple of kilometers. You would come across a sign that tells you to turn left.  Take this route and you would find a petrol station and a sign that shoes the way to Son Ferrer, El Toro and Portals Veils. You can follow this signpost to reach another sign that is just less than 2 kilometers away. This signpost would guide you onto the route to Santa Ponca, El Toro and Son Ferrer to the right.

The ride from here would be extremely comfortable for around 4 kilometers. You would then find a signpost that directs you to a beach, where you can spend some good time under the sun and relax. Once refreshed, the journey can continue on and land you on a roundabout that gives you the direction to Islas Malgrats.

Here, you can take a turn right to reach another roundabout a few meters away. The sign here would point straight into the direction of Santa Ponca. Move on a few more meters, and you can experience some of the most beautiful views you have ever seen. Keep your speed low because the downhill ride is a little steep. Cross just another roundabout and you would find yourself in the middle of Santa Ponca. This is one of the most beautiful routes for your Weekend Cycling Spain / Mallorca, and you can take your friends and family on this splendid experience.
